Items needed: A “Bop It” from the toy dept. in most big stores
This is a great opening activity for any lesson dealing with obedience to God or reaction to God’s commands.
The children form a circle. The person with the toy must listen to the voice prompt from the Bop It and must “bop it”, “twist it”, “pull it”, “shout it”, or “pass it” as the voice prompts. If they do not perform the action quickly, the voice will tell them that they are out and they must sit down. The Bop It is passed to the next person. The object is to perform the actions correctly and promptly until it is time to “pass it” to the next person in the circle. Please be sensitive to children with special needs and give opportunities to rejoin the game.
