Should I create an account when placing an order?
This is optional. Once you enter your customer information and shipping address, you can check the box to create an account and the checkout system will save this for future purchases to save you time at your next checkout process. None of this information is shared with anyone. It is only for your convenience when shopping with Mr. Mark’s Classroom.
Is there a coupon code available to use?
This is a standard question for any purchase at Mr. Mark’s Classroom. There are no coupon codes for VBS Decorations. We provide a Coupon Code for a super savings item through our monthly Classroom Swag Magazine. All subscribers receive 20 pages of great ideas they can share with their teachers and those at their church, that includes the Super Savings Coupon Code during that particular month.
I am purchasing items from Mr. Mark’s Classroom for my church. How do I purchase these items without tax?
Many of our customers are churches or schools and have a Tax Exemption number issued to them. Add the items that you would like to purchase to your Cart. When you have finished shopping, click on “Proceed to the Checkout page.” On the Checkout page, there is a tax-exempt option on the right. After clicking in the tax exempt checkbox, you will be prompted to enter your tax-exempt number. Upon entering a valid number the tax should be removed from your order.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Currently, all items are in stock and ready for immediate shipping. All VBS decorations ship Priority Mail through the United States Postal Service. This means, your shipping address should be the same as your mailing address which sometime differs from a physical address. Most orders are processed within 2-3 business days. Once shipped, orders are delivered within 5-7 business days.
Expedited Shipping– A customer may need to receive an order sooner so we provide an option at check-out for “Expedited Processing” which means the order is moved to the front of the line and most often processed and mailed the same day of purchase unless the Post Office is closed. Our team rushes all expedited orders for the fastest delivery possible.
Delivery Notification– A receipt is emailed to the customer when the purchase is completed. A second notification is emailed when the order has shipped. The notification will include a tracking number to know where the order is located. Simply copy the tracking number and paste it in the Google Search bar then “enter” and it will locate the order’s location and estimated delivery.
Returned Shipments– Most items are not returned since the customer enters the correct mailing address and USPS checks it for accuracy. The only returned items we have are from physical addresses when the customer’s mail is actually sent to the Post Office. Before your order is processed please be sure to check to ensure you have entered your correct mailing address.
Duplicate Orders Received– It has happened that a customer has received more than one order. Be sure you did not order more than one. In the case of a duplicate order received, do not open the extra package. Be sure that it is securely sealed for shipment and return it to the Post Office to “refuse” the package. The package will be marked “Return to Sender” and returned to us at no extra charge to you.
What if I need to return an item?
Please check your order when it arrives. Be sure to open the package and check that it is correct and meets your satisfaction. Waiting until the week just before your event might be too close to actually receive any replacement items in time.
Our goal at Mr. Mark’s Classroom is for each and every customer to be happy and satisfied with the books, games, resources and supplies to help teach and lead kid’s to know Jesus, gain Bible skills and grow in their experience as a Christian. Seasonal items like Vacation Bible School decorations can be returned in quality condition for resale for a full refund (excluding shipping) before May 31 of the year being sold. Our church is in the process of developing our own security policies. Do you have a sample we could use or look at to get started?
Look under our “Resources” tab to find a draft of a policy I helped write with First Baptist Church, Blanchard, OK. That children’s committee was terrific to work with and I think it is detailed, but short. It is a Word Document so you can download it and edit it. It is a great place to start with something on the page even if you change everything, it will give you something to discuss. Check with your insurance to see if they have any requirements you need to add. When your policy is completed, seek a person with legal expertise for an opinion. Your church then needs to approve it as policy.
