Hey Hey, Friends!

This is such a fun craft to do with the kiddos, and it is perfect for when you are in need for a a craft for a Missions lesson! Take a look at the video below for step by step instructions as I do the craft with you. It’s not hard and quite fun in my opinion, so I hope you give it a try!

Gather Supplies:

  • Battery Operated Tea Lights- Green & Blue Acrylic Paint or Sharpies (Other colors optional.)
  • Paint Brushes (Needed for Paint only.)
  • Ping Pong Balls (Drilled Hole in Ball)
  • Pencils (Optional)

Instructions:

  • Pre drill holes in the ping pong balls before you begin. You want the hole to be a little smaller than the “flame” so that it goes on and doesn’t slip back off.
  • Depending on the age of the kids, you can choose sharpies to decorate or acrylic paint. Sharpies will create a more subtle color design, especially when the light is turned on.
  • If creating the “world” design, letting kids look at a globe or world map might be helpful for them to see and duplicate free hand.Or you can have kids do any design with any colors!
  • The pencil is helpful for holding the ping pong ball while you decorate so that you can get all the way around it.
  • When the decor is dry, put the ping pong ball on to the tea light, and turn it on.
