Imagine if Mary had to endure the preschool drop off line with Jesus. Would she have forgotten it was Jesus’s turn to bring snacks for his entire class? Could she have missed “show and tell” day? No matter a mother’s fame or fortune status, all mothers must be encouraged!
Someone once said that, with your kids the days are long, but the years are short. The hourglass of time is slipping away slowly and each day is a gift you have with your children. Think about it. When your child is 9 years old, they are half way to 18. That means they are half was out of your house (hopefully)! Some may be praising Jesus, while other curl up in the fetal position in distress.
You’re the exact mom your child needs. Your child thinks you hung the moon.
The everyday mom stuff is important even though quite often it goes unnoticed. Feeding, clothing, cleaning, and carting your kids around proves to be a blessing in their lives. When your child feels cared for, it reduces barriers and hurdles so they can focus on more important things.
The comparison game with other moms and other children will bring you down. Be content in what you have. (Hebrews 13:5)
Instead of capturing every memory on your cell phone, it’s more important to live in the moment. Rather than grabbing the camera, grab a hold of your child for a big hug. A beautiful picture absent of feelings is merely a memory without a purpose.
Perfection isn’t your goal. Since God has called you to be a mom, giving your best back to God and to your family is your goal. (Col. 3:23)
