Items needed: Parachute or a bed sheet
Lay parachute on the floor and ask children to sit around the
edges. Assign numbers so there are at least two children for each number (ex: if you have nine children in class, you could number them 1,2,3, three times, or 1,2,3,4 twice with an extra #1). Everyone grasp the edge of the parachute and stand. Practice pulling up on the parachute and making it rise high. Tell them when the parachute is at the peak you will call out a number and those with that number need to run under and change places. Let everyone have a turn. Call out more than one number to make it more difficult. Talk about how sometimes we think what God asks us to do is impossible, but he’ll always equip us for the task.
