As children enter the puzzle area, invite them to place their feet on a sheet of paper. Trace around their feet with shoes on and encourage each child to decorate their foot (shoe) imprint. Teachers need to trace around their feet (shoes) too. Save these for group time. At the beginning of group time invite the children to bring their footprints to group time. Ask, “Who has the smallest feet?” “Who has the largest feet?” Invite children to place their footprints on the floor and arrange them from the smallest to the biggest. As children work to arrange the footprints, remind them that each person is different yet we all belong to God’s family.
