Ask parents in advance to borrow baby books or photos of the children in your class. Keep the baby books secret and gather the class around in a circle. Tell them you have pictures of some VERY special babies. Share each book or photo and ask kids to guess who the baby is in each picture. End each book by telling the featured child that you can tell how special their birth was to their parents. Show a baby picture of yourself as well. After the show and tell time, tell the children that the most special baby of all was born, but no one made a baby book with pictures. They didn’t have cameras when he was born so, they had to write about his birth. This baby is Jesus and his story is in the Bible.
