Kids love to explore the world around them and talk about what they see. Help the children discover God’s beautiful creations by taking them outside on a fall nature walk. Provide them each with a scavenger list and bag to store the items they find. For older children, make the items on the list more advanced. Once they have found their items, encourage them to share their discoveries with each other. Talk with them about all the things God has made for us to enjoy. You can use this activity to talk about how many of the items are the same (i.e. several leaves) but how those items are also very unique (i.e. the leaves are various colors, shapes, and sizes). Tie the conversation into how God made each of us unique and wonderful (Psalm 139:14).
