Mother’s Day is almost here!  What do you think of when you think of Mother’s Day?  Flowers!  Here’s an art project for preschoolers.

Supplies:

  • White construction paper or cardstock
  • Plastic forks
  • Tempera or acrylic paint (paper plates to pour paint on)
  • Markers

Prepare:

Use markers to draw leaves and stems on the paper. Pour out pools of paint on paper plates.

Instructions:

Show the preschoolers how to place their fork in the paint and then rock the fork on the paper to create a flower. The fork doesn’t hold very much paint, so these tend to dry pretty quickly.
