Here is a fun use for playdough that has been mixed together and, on its way, out of the classroom.  Stamping letters to create words!

Supplies Needed:

  • Alphabet stampers
  • Play dough
  • Word strips (You could use new words or words from your lesson)
  • Optional: Plastic school box

Instructions:

Take the mixed play dough that kids do not want to use and put it in a plastic school box or any container about that size. Invite the preschoolers to choose a word from a card that you provide. Encourage them to stamp the letters in the play dough to create the word.

Elementary kids can use this as a review game. Two teams are asked the review question and one player from each team races to stamp the answer in the play dough first.
